We would like to thank everyone who donated to our “Tote the Responsibility for a Cure” at our Think Pink Event and throughout the month of October 2011.
Breast cancer is a serious subject at our office and we want to bring awareness to our patient’s and help in the battle to find a cure. Until then getting regular screening tests is the best way for women to lower their risk of dying from breast cancer. Screening tests can find breast cancer early, when it’s most treatable.
We are proud to send a check to Susan G Komen for the Cure for a total donation of $658.00.
Schillling Healthcare was proud to sponsor Run for a Smile on October 15, 2011, a 5K race organized by Dr. Chafin, DMD, all proceeds benefit Give Back a Smile, an organization that aides battered families in restoring dental health damaged by abuse. Dr. Schilling, Cassie Howard, our massage therapist, and her husband David, along with a patient, Lisa Batten all participated in the 5K. Dr. Schilling was awarded 1st place in his age group, Cassie 2nd place in her age group and her husband David 1st in his age group. We definitely have a caring and winning group!
Dr. Schilling is now performing breast augmentation procedures. After extensive training over the last 2 years, Dr. Schilling has done over 120 hours of education and workshops concentrating on cosmetic breast surgery alone. Since January 2010, Dr. Schilling, has attended multiple focused educational live workshops to learn and perform Cosmetic Breast Surgery. The workshops have included lectures with demonstrations, along with hands-on live surgery, and concentrated learning sessions with quality time with experts. He continues to educate himself and will begin performing Cosmetic Breast Augmentation procedures early in 2011.
